Gifts of Stock

Gifts of stock offer you an advantageous way to support the Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.  These gifts are handled through the Office of the Controller at Emory University. To learn more about making gifts of stock or to make a gift of stock to the Emory ADRC, please contact:

You can complete the form to transfer your gift using this form and return it by mail or email to the Office of the Controller

 The Emory ADRC uses the same brokerage account as Emory University.  Please instruct your broker to transfer the shares electronically to Emory University.  After instructing your broker to make the transfer, please contact the Office of the Controller (contact information above) so that we can match your name with your gift when it arrives.

Your gift date is the date the shares are received in the Emory University account.  Your gift amount is the average of the high and low price on that day.

Matching Gifts

Matching gift programs are an excellent way to double -- or even triple -- your contribution. These gifts are an important source of support for Emory’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. We encourage you to apply for a match from your employer.

You can contact your company's Human Resources office to request a matching gift form, or you also may be able to find the form online at your company's website.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts

Many people find it meaningful to make a gift in honor of someone who is fighting Alzheimer's or in memory of a friend or a loved one. Others want to recognize those who make a difference in the lives of Alzheimer's patients, such as a physician or a nurse. You can designate a gift for any occasion -- a birthday, anniversary, or holiday -- or to express appreciation or love.

Gift acknowledgments are sent to both the donor and to the person or family the donor specifies, although the amount of the donation is not revealed.

To direct memorial gifts in honor of a loved one, please instruct family and friends to make checks payable to the Emory Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center and include the loved one’s name in the memo line. Here is sample language that can be used for memorial gifts in obituary: “In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the:
